A huge thank you to everyone who participated in our customer survey in April. We were overwhelmed by your kind comments and great ideas about how to make Book Box Club even better in the future.
What’s more, we felt seriously PROUD to have created a club that seems to have a way of attracting the very best kind of people – people who genuinely love books, who are geeky about goodies, and who care about the environment!
We totally embrace your views about things that we at Book Box Club can do in order to become a more eco-friendly company. We’ve listened to your feedback and we’ll be making the following changes in the coming months…
88% of respondents to our customer survey agreed that, even though our lovely gift-wrap does make for an exciting unboxing experience, the real magic is about the book inside! Our May WHODUNNIT?!-themed parcels will feature our last ever gift-wrapped books. Any remaining gift wrap will be available to purchase in our shop for those who want to do a bit of wrapping at home!
75% of survey respondents agreed that whilst they were happy to wave goodbye to gift-wrap, they wanted a different way to conceal the featured read within the parcel. We’ve been hard at work and we think we’ve come up with a fantastic way to present your books in the future. We’ve still got some development to do, so the books inside your June box/Purely Books parcel will arrive naked…
BUT we’re excited to tease you with a new, exciting way of disguising our featured reads, which will be fully recyclable, but useful and beautiful enough that you won’t want to throw it away!
This was a hard decision for the Book Box Club gang. We LOVE personalising your parcel in this small way, but with 84% of our survey respondents in agreement and the unnecessary environmental impact of our book group envelope weighing on our minds, we have decided to stop including the envelopes in our parcels. May WHODUNNIT?!-themed parcels will be the last parcels to include hand-addressed envelopes.
Lots of you LOVE our colourful, blue shred that we use to package our boxes. We’ve shopped around and tried to find an alternative that’s just as protective for the precious items we send you, without compromising on aesthetics. We’ll be switching to natural brown shred from June 2021. This has the benefit of being biodegradeable, making it much easier safely to dispose of (if you aren’t able to recycle it) than our current blue packing.
A whopping 92% of you told us that you keep the unboxing cards and invites that you receive inside our boxes! This makes us SO happy. For those of you that like to recycle these bits and bobs, we’re removing the laminated finish from our future stationery to make it more readily recyclable! Unlaminated cards will be included starting with our May WHODUNNIT?! parcels.
