Purely Books June 2021

You can now purchase our Purely Books parcels on a month-by-month basis!

This parcel will include a copy of our featured read for our June 2021 JUST IMAGINE theme, accompanied by a signed author bookplate and an invitation to our online book group with the author. Here’s what we’ve told you about our June book so far:

Our featured read for June is a beautifully-crafted, emotional tale about a vivid imaginary world and the dark reality of its troubled teen creators.

When her beloved brother goes missing, a young dreamer is convinced that he’s disappeared into the fantasy world they invented as children: a made-up land of secret laws, alternate identities and plenty of bloody drama. Can their special bond and the magic of their imagined world bring him back? How will she and her family cope when the truth behind his disappearance is revealed?

With wonderfully real characters, a haunting surreal world, themes of sexual identity and gritty issues that may upset some readers (click here for content warnings), this book is unlike any other that we’ve featured in a Book Box Club box before. Think one part Bridge to Terabithia, mixed with A Monster Calls and muddled together with an extra dose of darkness!

Please note this is not a subscription and will not renew. If you’d like further Purely Books parcels from us you’ll need to purchase these separately. Postage is not included and will be calculated at the checkout.

Your parcel will post at the same time as our subscription members receive their June boxes/Purely Books, approximately mid-June.
